Shelley Ong Teshima is a senior marketing and brand leader with more than 20 years of experience building, scaling, and transforming brands across technology, consumer, and social-impact organizations.
Shelley's career spans global advertising agencies, high-growth companies, and mission-driven institutions, where she has led brand strategy, integrated marketing, and creative teams through moments of significant growth and change. Her work sits at the intersection of strategy and execution—translating insights into platforms, campaigns, and branded content programs that drive both business outcomes and cultural impact.
Shelley currently serves as Vice President of Marketing at Lean In, where she brings together her background in brand strategy and creative excellence to develop impactful campaigns and marketing programs in support of gender equality. Most recently, she helped launch Lean In Girls, a program designed to help teen girls build confidence, resilience, and the power to use their voices.
Previously, Shelley led the Brand & Integrated Marketing function at Lyft, where she oversaw the company’s full brand refresh and led a range of complex, full-funnel campaigns. She also served as Managing Director at Enso Collaborative, a strategy and creative agency centered on building mission-driven brands that positively impact society. Along with her team, she developed shared-value strategies and programs for clients including Google, The Nature Conservancy, and Omidyar Network.
Earlier in her career, Shelley was Global Account Director at Leo Burnett, where she led Samsung Global’s core brand business and played an instrumental role in the company’s first global creative platform. She also spent seven years working across Australia and Canada on advertising campaigns for Procter & Gamble, Kellogg’s, Telus/Koodo Mobile, as well as local governments and social enterprises.
A proud Canadian raised in Vancouver, Shelley earned a degree from the University of British Columbia with a double specialization in Marketing and International Business.
